My digital adaptation of the still life "Flowers in a Grotesque Vase" painted by Orsola Maddalena Caccia in about 1635.
The Italian Orsola Maddalena Caccia (bornTheodora Caccia) lived from 1596 to 1676). She was a painter and a Catholic nun.
I digitally revamped her beautiful still life and placed it on a different (dark brown, almost black) background.
The little birds you see do not actually belong in this painting, they are from another painting by the same painter.
The stylists at Art Heroes call my art style ‘Art with a Wink’. And I couldn't agree more. Life is serious enough as it is, don't you think? ;-)
