This photo shows nineteenth-century buildings on Wibautstraat (Amsterdam), also known as the Sanpanden.
On the façade of these premises is Pakhuys Miquel; these were the original names of these premises. In the photo, you can see that I actually only photographed the first building (Pakhuys).
It was built in 1869 as a warehouse for a gas and glass products company. The name Miquel comes from the Miquelstraat on which the warehouse was located at the time.
