A breathtaking sunset puts the water of Coolhaven in Rotterdam West in an amazing purple-blue light.
The Coolhaven is a harbour that was dug in the twenties as a connection between the rivers Delfshavense Schie and Nieuwe Maas. The buildings on the left, including former machinist school, nowadays café The Machinist, date from shortly after World War II. The two residential towers in the middle on both sides of the Pieter de Hoochbridge are of much later date and were completed in 2001.
