About the artwork
"Panorama of water droplets on fluff in the light" is a macro photograph of water droplets hanging from the fine threads of fruit fluff photographed from an angle below. This edited photo has beige, cream/white, brown tones and a dark background.
To get some idea of the size of these fluff pieces: this scene is about 2 by 4 cm in real life. This work has been cropped to panorama size.
The depth of field is very shallow, (only a few millimeters from the fluff) this creates a dreamy atmosphere also a sense of depth in the work.
The drops also work to create this dreamy atmosphere, they reflect the light and thus create sparkles on the drops. The point of focus is on the front two fluff pieces where the stalk turns into the fluff.
The texture of these fruit fluff is very fine and forms a beautiful structure to which the water droplets adhere.
