Paris on my Mind

by Nicolaas Ranzijn

An expressive figurative painting in which posture and colour convey more than words. The seated woman, lost in thought, exudes a natural sense of calm. Her relaxed pose and averted gaze leave room for interpretation and invite the viewer to discover their own story.

Using bold contour lines and loosely applied areas of colour, Nicolaas Ranzijn constructs a composition that feels both spontaneous and refined. Warm shades of pink and earth tones are interspersed with cool accents of green and blue, creating a lively balance. The visible brushstrokes and transparent layers lend the work a light, almost sketch-like elegance. A painting full of character that would look wonderful in a living room, reading corner, bedroom or entrance hall. Thanks to its contemporary look and warm colour palette, it looks superb in modern, eclectic, Scandinavian and artistic interiors.
