On my kitchen table was a mix of loose sketches: a soft pink blossom, two green "citrus bulbs", and leaves I picked in the garden. I have brought them together here as if you lay them carelessly on the table and something still makes sense. The splashes and smudges are deliberately irregular-the cheerful messiness of a studio afternoon. This work is from the Pastel Flora series.
The large monstera vein on the right gives calm and direction; the golden splashes create a little feast. If you look closer, you can see the grain of the "canvas" and mini holes in the green bulbs, as if the husk is breathing. The mood is light and fresh, a little spring on the wall.
At home, this work fits easily: above a sideboard, in the dining area, or in a bedroom where you're looking for a soft colour accent. It pairs nicely with wood, linen and white-but also with walls painted green. It's not complicated art, rather a happy reminder of plant watering, fruit cutting and the first sunlight sliding into the room.
