I had long wanted to do something with round lotus leaves: those wide, calm shapes that your eyes automatically land on. Here, they create a nice contrast with yellow and pink circles, with a fluffy flower at the bottom. The background is kept soft, as if looking through chalk paint. This work is from the Pastel Flora series.
Technically, this is a mix of digital gouache and splash lines. The dark green circle at the back left is just not quite round-that imperfection makes it human. The colours give spring and summer vibes. Perfect for spaces that could use a warm boost.
The atmosphere is calm and summery. Ideal above a sofa, but also beautiful in a bedroom or yoga corner. The piece works well with light wood and sand tones; a green accent wall may also do. It's one of those prints that nods every day: calm down, breathe, keep going.
