About ‘Pasterze – Glacier on the Großglockner’ by Julias stille Momente

The Pasterze, at the foot of the Großglockner, is Austria’s largest glacier – and a place that instantly makes you fall silent. This photograph shows the view across the mighty glacier tongue down to the milky-turquoise glacial lake, whilst summer clouds billow above the snow-capped peaks of the Hohe Tauern. Amidst the ice, rock and water, the silent grandeur of the high-mountain landscape becomes palpable – and, at the same time, its transience, for the Pasterze is retreating further every year. This also makes this wall art a historical record. I captured this scene in high resolution during clear mountain weather, ensuring that fine details such as the crevasses in the glacial ice are brilliantly showcased even in large formats. For many years now, I’ve been out and about in nature with my camera – always on the lookout for that special moment: mist lying over a valley, the first light of day, water flowing like silk, or a meadow of flowers in the summer breeze. I’m based in Brandenburg, but I find my subjects everywhere – from the vast landscapes on my doorstep to mountain lakes and waterfalls in the Alps.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
