For this photo, I used a technique called ICM (Intentional Camera Movement), in which you move the camera on purpose while taking a picture to get motion blur in a certain direction. For forests with long, straight trees, it works very well to pull the trees out in the vertical direction, so to speak. This photo was taken in the forests of the Belgian Ardennes.
