About the artwork

On the first bright day of March, which was immediately the warmest ever recorded, I spent a special afternoon at Blijdorp Zoo in Rotterdam. Together with my son and grandson, I enjoyed the sunshine, the burgeoning spring and the animals that showed their best side. But one animal really stood out for me: an impressive pelican that almost seemed to pose for my camera.

This majestic bird stood there with a proud pose, its large bill perfectly balanced with its elegant plumage. The light fell just right, highlighting its contours beautifully. For a moment, it seemed as if it knew it was being photographed, as if it was aware of its own beauty. It was a rare moment of peace and harmony, captured on film.

Blijdorp is one of the most beautiful zoos in the Netherlands, where animals live in spacious, natural enclosures. The pelican, with its graceful appearance and characteristic beak, is a symbol of freedom and strength. This image not only tells the story of an animal in its environment, but also of an unforgettable day full of warmth and connection with family.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
