It was sometime in early January when I decided to take this photo. I took a hotel close to the beach and had walked around with my wife the day before to see what would be the best location.
It was early, around 6.30am when I grabbed my gear and walked to the spot. There was still some water in it, so I was totally happy that I didn't have to wait until high tide.
Waiting it did become, because a little sun to get the shade off the poles would be nice. Luckily the sun did come, very faintly but still.... I couldn't feel my fingers because it was below zero, so really cold, I stood with my boots half in the water and kept a close eye on my tripod so it wouldn't accidentally fall over. I took 10 photos, a total of 4 hours. But the result is exactly how I wanted it.
As a good television salesman would say.... 'I've got it myself! '
