About ‘People in Architecture.’ by Kees Jan Schilstra
Many photographers try to capture architecture without any people in the frame. For me, the connection is essential. After all, architecture is created for people. Leaving people out of this is like taking the cream off the top.

I’ve been taking photographs since 1981, but I’ve been doing it seriously since 2009. Until 2017, I focused intensively on nature photography; since then, I’ve been specialising in portrait photography for the past 10 years, though I enjoy venturing into street, architectural and abstract photography.
