The characteristic Provençal village of Seillans is very photogenic set against a hill. Lots of greenery around it, houses with shutters and in the middle, to the left of the highest buildings, the church tower in which you can even see the bell hanging. Seillans has been officially declared one of the most beautiful villages in France. I placed the photo on a background with a slightly coarser paper-like texture and then manipulated it in such a way as to give it a very individual, almost historical look. I call it a photo drawing.
A well-known photographer once said to me, "To stand out as a photographer, you have to find your own niche." I never really managed to do that. I just want to take photos that make me happy. And that will hopefully make you happy too. Well, maybe.. Read more…
