About the artwork

Discover the touching beauty of this photo, which captures a little girl taking care of a pigeon with tender care, against the imposing facade of the Korenbeurs in Groningen. Despite the grey, rainy day, her blonde locks dance in the wind as she bends over the bird trying to protect it. The rain falls steadily, but the girl seems impervious to the wet drops enveloping her surroundings.

The scene exudes an unmistakable gentleness amid the bleak, grey surroundings. The Korenbeurs, once a bustling centre of trade and activity, now stands still as a silent witness of days gone by. For the moment, however, the historical grandeur of the building seems unimportant; the focus is entirely on the girl and her winged companion.

Her innocent gesture forms a heartwarming contrast to the gloom of the weather. The girl seems completely absorbed in her mission to protect the dove, creating her own little world in which the rain and worries of the outside world play no role.

This simple act of compassion and caring symbolises something deeper: the need to nurture what is vulnerable and protect what seems helpless. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
