Fly pines on the edge of a natural fens in the dunes. The fen often forms after a few with heavy rainfall. The clouds reflect brilliantly in the partially ice-covered water. The sky turns orange as a result of the high humidity and the silence in this place is palpable. The dark shapes in the trees (flying pines Pinus sylvestris) extend into the clouds, making the trees seem to be blown into the air. The blackness of the branches and needles run right through into the clouds brightly coloured by the setting sun A few minutes later, the sun had disappeared behind the horizon and all the colours were gone again. The atmosphere turned icy cold and it was time to return home.
