Isle of Arran is located in the southwest of Scotland and is also called Scotland in miniature. There is actually everything here that you also find elsewhere in Scotland. Mountains, valleys, rivers, lakes, castles, stone circles, beaches and of course the typical Scottish culture. We stayed a week on this island and that is a good time to explore it. In the far south lies the village Kildonan where you have a beautiful view from the beach on the island Pladda with its lighthouse and the uninhabited Ailsa Craig.
