The Pont Gustave-Flaubert spans the Seine on the west side of Rouen. The bridge has a total of 670 meters long, with a main span of 120 metres. The bridge has two pylons of 86 meters altitude in the middle of the bridge, with two separate bridge decks with 3 lanes, an emergency lane and a bicycle/pedestrian path per direction. The bridge is therefore quite broad, with two decks of 20 metres wide. From outside to outside, the bridge is approximately 51.5 meters wide. The vertical clearance is 7 metres when closed and 55 meters in the open position. It is one of the highest car lifts in the world.
