This year was the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Arnhem, and thus remembered just like every year. As I waited for the commemoration to begin at the War Cemetery in Oosterbeek, I saw this red poppy among the headstones. The poppy (poppy) is a symbol of the First World War in the UK, but also in many other countries, as they bloomed frequently on the battlefields in Flanders. The wreaths consist of red poppys avn fabric, and not floral arrangements like ours.
I converted the picture to black and white with only the poppy as a red detail.
