The original model Porsche 356 was built from 1948-1955 in the Coupé and Cabrio versions, still had a two-part windshield and a full-length bench seat for driver and passenger.
It was not until 1955 to 1959 that the 356 A version came as a coupe, convertible and Speedster/Convertible D. New here was the one-piece curved windshield and door glass made of tempered glass (Sekurit).
1959-1963 the Porsche 356 was revised and became the version 356 B among other things with heating nozzles for the rear window to keep it fog-free.
1963-1965 came the version 356 C, which changed mainly because of the installation of disc brakes were perforated disc wheels with new hubcaps without the Porsche Crest. Externally, except for the hubcapsof 356 B to 356 C there are none. From the Porsche 356 C and SC the interior is much better and the engines were more powerful and had 75 hp and 95 hp on the 1600 SC.
In total over all versions 76.302 cars were built with different engines from 40-130 hp (29-96 kW).
