The port of Saint-Malo (Brittany) is often plagued by dense sea fog. Because the end is no longer visible, there seem to be endless boats. This seaside resort also has a big difference between low and high tide. The piles on the right hand side allow the jetty to move with the water level. Because the water level is low, the poles stick out far above the water and help to see the density of the fog.
