About "Porta Perugina Paciano Umbria"

About the artwork

This is one of the three medieval gates that lead into Paciano in Umbria, Italy - my home town! This is Porta Perugina at the top of the town and the main car access point, though only really for residents and delivery vehicles. There is plenty of parking on the outskirts to allow visitors to enter by foot, walking through the archway into the beautiful narrow streets. The black and orange flags on display on the wall either side of the entrace arch mark a contrada, a subdivision of Paciano dating back to medieval times - the various contrade, who all have different flags, compete against each other in games during the festivals. Above the arch we can see a window which suggests there may be a room, perhaps part of an apartment. Indeed, to the right of the entrance we can see stone steps leading up into an apartment. Looking through the arch we can see a glimpse of the narrow street (scary to drive, I speak from experience) and you can see the traditional stone architecture and windows with shutters.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
