About "Portrait of a Brown Bear in black and white"

About the artwork

This work shows the head of a European Brown Bear (Ursus arctos) in black and white. I took this photo of Europe's largest carnivore in spring in slightly cloudy weather in a swamp in southern Finnish Lapland. The flowers of the cotton grass next to the head show that it is spring. The bear was some distance away and the photo was taken with a long telephoto lens. As a result, the background of the marsh is blurred against which the bear stands out well. The bear looks somewhat pensive into the camera and there is eye contact between bear and photographer. Is the bear wondering what to do with the photographer? I am the boss here he seems to be saying...I am not to be trifled with. A few moments after I shot the photo, the bear calmly continued on its way....nothing wrong!
The photo is a calm and contemplative work. Because the photo was taken in slightly cloudy weather, the light is plastic without disturbing heavy shadows. The bear's piercing eyes make this work an eye-catcher in any interior.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
