At up to almost 5 metres long, the Giraffe is the largest ruminant mammal. This cloven-hoofed creature living in Africa has a number of subspecies of which this is the Somali Giraffe which has northern Kenya, Somalia and southern Ethiopia as its habitat. The most striking feature of the Giraffe is its enormously long neck that makes it a special sight on the African savannah.
