Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.

Portrait of a Man, Frans Hals

In the first half of the seventeenth century, Frans Hals was the leading portrait painter in Haarlem. He worked on till a ripe old age, probably due to financial problems. This impressive portrait, for example, was painted when he was about eighty.

By that point, Hals was working more freely than ever before, and he portrayed the man with broad, rapid brushstrokes. The glimmers of light in the dark eyes and the mobile lips lend personality and liveliness to the portrait.
