Beautifully lit by the golden evening light, we are standing directly in front of the Powder Tower of Burghausen Castle, the longest castle in the world. It is located on a hill, the Bergerhof, about 300 metres to the west of the main castle and is connected by a wall with a secret passageway. In the past, it served to protect the castle complex from enemies from the south. Today it is a landmark of the area and watches over visitors to the Wöhrsee at its feet.
