The large (approx. 9000 square metres) central square of Old Town Square in the centre of Prague is a popular meeting place. It is considered one of the most beautiful squares in Europe. It is home to the Old Town Hall with the Astronomical Clock, the Teyn Church and the Jan Hus Monument.
The Old Town Hall (Staroměstská radnice in Czech) is located on the south-west corner of the Old Town Square. The town hall was built in the Gothic style. The Old Town Hall and the Astronomical Clock are important sights on the Old Town Square.
The Teyn Church was built from the middle of the 14th century until the beginning of the 16th century. Due to its chequered history, today it is an architectural mixture of Gothic and Baroque styles.
