These cloths were often used for ritual and burial purposes, and they were known for their vibrant colours and intricate patterns. The cloths were woven from cotton or alpaca wool and often contained geometric shapes, images of animals and symbols that may have had religious significance.
What makes the Nazca cloths special is the sophisticated technique used to create the patterns. They used a combination of embroidery and weaving to produce detailed and durable designs.
