Rainbow sand – soft pastel colours and abstract textural art

by Hilde Remerie – Digital Art, Bauhaus & Photography

Rainbow Sand is a soft, abstract composition in which pastel colours blend slowly and naturally into one another. Starting with lilac and pink at the top, the image transitions through soft shades of blue and sage green to warm beige, yellow, peach and pink tones at the bottom. The colours do not form distinct blocks, but flow across the image in horizontal layers like a subtle rainbow.

The fine grainy texture gives the artwork a distinctive tactile quality. It is reminiscent of fine sand, powdery pigments or a soft, natural texture. Precisely because the colours and texture are so subtle, a calm and dreamy image emerges that never grows tiresome.

‘Rainbow Sand’ is a lovely choice for anyone looking for abstract art in soft colours. The piece pairs well with a light and natural interior, but also provides a subtle splash of colour in a tranquil living room, bedroom, study or nursery. The pastel colours give the piece a fresh and soft look without being overpowering.

The horizontal colour transitions create a sense of calm and balance. At the same time, the artwork remains vibrant thanks to the various shades that gradually blend into one another. As a result, ‘Rainbow Sand’ has something of an abstract landscape about it, whilst at the same time being entirely about colour, texture and atmosphere.

A dreamy abstract artwork for lovers of pastel colours, soft rainbow hues and subtle textures. ‘Rainbow Sand’ brings a gentle splash of colour to your wall and leaves room for your own interpretation.
