About "Red Poppy Fields In Umbria"

About the artwork

Based on my own photograph, this is a digital painting in impressionism style featuring red poppy fields in Umbria, Italy. During the month of May, many of the fields in the valley below our house in Central Italy suddenly burst into colour, filled with bright red poppies. Poppies are the most amazing wildflower, they love disturbed ground, so ploughed agricultural land is the ideal place for them to grow. During this period of natural beauty, driving anywhere reveals fields of red poppies, or poppies in the hedgerows or on woodland edges. Just stunning. I wanted to capture that jaw dropping moment as you stand and look at red poppy fields. Your eye tends not to focus on one poppy in particular but takes in the whole glorious display as you stand and drink it in. The red almost merges into large areas of colour, contrasting beautifully with the dappled green of the grassland.

Born in the South of England I now live half way up a mountain in Umbria, Italy. I work from my art studio looking out over fabulous views of the Italian countryside. I am so happy to share my artwork with you.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
