About ‘Red-tailed parrot in the textile factory’ by View2Art

This African red-tailed parrot seems surprisingly at home amongst the machinery of an old textile factory. It looks you straight in the eye, as if it is just as surprised by your presence as you are by its own.

For me, the most beautiful balance is achieved when rugged industrial forms are softened by the gracefulness of – in this case – a parrot. The piece brings curiosity, wonder and a subtle smile to an interior. I photographed this parrot myself whilst abroad, and he kept looking at me, which made me feel a connection. He was probably just wondering what all that clicking of the camera was about. I also frequently photograph industrial environments because I have a huge passion for them, so I’ve combined two photo's and edited them in Photoshop.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
