About ‘Reflection in the forest’ by Joyce Gijsbers

At the end of a path in a forest stands a house. It seems to be somewhat hidden behind the trees.
It had been raining so there is a nice reflection in the puddles. The colors of the photo tend to be autumnal. However, the photo was taken in winter. The trees are bare so the sunlight hits the trunks of the trees and the ground beautifully. Taking the photo close to the ground makes the trees appear even taller.
The black and white shutters and window frames contrast nicely with the other colors in the photo. The roof used to be a beautiful red, but the green tarnish no longer shows through.
