Photo print of a snowy forest in Swedish Lapland with reindeer.
Reindeer run wild there, not always in a herd. Yet these wild reindeer also belong to a Sami. This one is not yet earmarked, but found by a Sami (on the other side of its fur it has sprayed a mark).
When the herd returns in spring, this reindeer will also be recorded and given that Sami's earmark. He stays there freely and will be led by the Sami to the best feeding spots. If a reindeer is not strong enough, it does not have to trek with them and will be given extra supplementary feed around the Sami's home.
An image with shades of black and brown. A winter landscape with this beautiful reindeer in it.
