About ‘Removal of clock faces Dom tower in Utrecht’ by In Utrecht

On 29 April 2019, the Cathedral Tower's clock faces were removed, on all four sides. The 1915 faces are making way for a major restoration of the tower. It is budgeted at 37 million euros and is expected to take about five years. Work began on the construction site in November 2018 and scaffolding erection began in February 2019.
