In the busy landscape of the Netherlands, it is often not easy to discover what is beautiful and pure.
Your feeling actually goes in all directions because of the many objects there are.
In winter, especially with a layer of snow, minimalism often returns here and there. The landscape stills by covering distracting things with a layer of snow. The horizon now becomes just a stretch of trees with a roof. As with this ditch in an arable area in Groningen. Wondering what the essence of beauty is I saw this ditch and noticed the tranquillity of reeds and lines. The white and the ditch are isolated to the simplicity needed to show what is beautiful about it. There is not much to see and yet it feels exciting. No distractions of poles and wires disturbing the sense of beauty of the landscape. So again, leave out the big stuff. Less is better. Just like in real life where people shout about everything that has not yet been thought about I am merely silent.
