In Kep, Cambodia, a modest shelter is home to a line of carefully hung hammocks, an invitation to rest and contemplate. Beneath this shady space, a few colourful carpets cover the floor, offering a place to relax and share. Far from the hustle and bustle, this place exudes the simplicity and hospitality typical of Cambodian life. Here, travellers and locals alike can relax, lulled by the sea breeze and sheltered from the tropical sun. The whole area exudes a peaceful atmosphere, where time seems to stand still. The hammocks, gently swaying in the wind, symbolise the gentle way of life in this coastal region. The authentic setting is a reminder of the importance of rest in local culture. This discreet, yet warm, place is a perfect example of the simple, harmonious way of life found on the shores of Kep.
