This work called "Restaurant Le Consulat in Paris" is a colorful and atmospheric street scene of Paris.
The restaurant Le Consulat is a historic cafe that was formerly visited by famous artists such as Picasso, Sisley, Van Gogh, Toulouse-Lautrec and Monet.
The restaurant is located in the creative and colourful district of Montmartre in the Rue Norvins street and about 15 minutes' walk from the Sacré-Cœur.
The painting is painted from a photo image that I shot (over 12 years ago) around the blue hour in the evening. The atmospheric light of the restaurant and street lighting provided a beautiful color palette that I have painted in my own expressionist style with acrylic paint on canvas.
The original painting hangs at my house and has a size of 90x70cm.
