About ‘Rhythm of the Elements’ by INGO

This abstract watercolour is a visual symphony of colour, movement and texture. The work explores the boundary between the unbridled fluidity of water and air, and the structured patterns of the earth. At the centre of the work is a powerful, undulating stream of deep blue and emerald green. The transparent layers of watercolour create a sense of depth and constant movement, as if a river were cutting through a landscape. Above it, minimalistically drawn birds float against a soft, warm background, evoking a sense of freedom and open air.
In contrast to the flowing shapes at the top, the bottom of the artwork is composed of earthy tones and complex geometric motifs. These patterns are reminiscent of ancient tribal art or the texture of fossilised layers of soil, giving the work a solid foundation and a historical character.
The fine white details – from dotted lines to delicate circles – act as a connecting layer that brings the different elements together. The result is a balanced spectacle in which the chaos of nature is captured in a rhythmic and poetic whole.
