Robin in a holly bush vertical is a watercolour painting painted by the artist Karen Kaspar. A robin sits on a branch in a holly bush and looks to the right. It is surrounded by green leaves and red berries. The background is painted with loose brushstrokes in different shades of green, which form a strong colour contrast to the red winter berries of the bush and the red-orange breast feathers of the bird. The ilex is also called holly. The evergreen branches with the red fruits are often used for Christmas decorations.
This painting is an excerpt from my watercolour painting Robin in the Ilex Bush. The original painting was done in landscape format and is also available here in my shop. Here a section in portrait format was chosen. Another cut-out in square format is also available in my shop. Choose for yourself which format fits best in your rooms.
