Robin in the clouds is a hand-painted acrylic painting in square format by the artist Karen Kaspar.
A small robin with a bright orange breast sits on a branch in a tree, surrounded by foliage in various bright shades of green. Shades of blue, purple, yellow and green blend harmoniously in the colourful background, like the sky at sunrise in the morning.
This work, a combination of painting and haiku, is a joint project by Karen Kaspar (© art and artwork) and Marjolein Rotsteeg (© Haiku).
A haiku is a traditional Japanese poetry form consisting of three lines.
Here the acrylic painting was completed with the haiku in Dutch. In my portfolio there is also a variant with the poem in English (see album 'Haiku and Painting English'). The painting is also available without text (see album 'Birds').
You can find more paintings with haiku and poems in my albums 'Haiku and Painting English' and 'Haiku and Painting Dutch'. New works are constantly being added to the albums. So keep checking back from time to time!
