About ‘Rock in the surf...’ by As Janson

When I look at this picture... I feel so much that all I can think is wow.

A rock.
It is an expression for someone who can help you when you need it, who is always there. Always strong and steady and can catch you where needed.
That's what this picture is for me.
Apart from literally being a rock, this photo is a rock.
When I take a moment of quiet looking. Taking a break, gathering energy and strength.

Look how beautiful the rock is with all its textures.
How beautifully the sunlight makes the rock shine extra brightly there among all the water.

The water forms a mysterious mist around the rock. This is because I used a slower shutter speed to create this effect. This is because I wanted to make the rock sparkle even more and give it power.

The slower shutter speed also makes the currents in the sea more visible.
The pastel shades of the sea and sky finish the photo in serenity.
