About ‘Rose of gold’ by Clazien Boot

A rose dipped in wax and painted gold. This rose I saw a flower store and immediately caught my attention. Immediately I knew how I would photograph this rose. I painted the background myself with shades of yellow, brown and gold. By photographing the rose alone it gives a strong image. The rose is beautiful and the color gold gives the image a chic look. Please also take a look at my other photos. I like to photograph flowers, fruits and vegetables as still life and I get my inspiration mostly from the Old Masters such as Rembrandt.
