If you walk through the dunes on the Baltic Sea beach in the warm season, you will find roses on the beach. Roses on the beach this term often refers to the potato rose (Rosa rugosa), which is widespread in coastal regions. This hardy rose is known for its ability to thrive in windy, sunny and salty locations. It forms dense bushes and is well adapted to life in coastal dunes. For me as a photographer, this was a good reason to capture it in this photograph. All this in the best weather and in a good mood.
In fact, this photograph radiates tranquillity and has a tidy atmosphere. I would place this photograph in my bathroom, together with holiday memories from the seashore, such as driftwood, chicken gods or a glittering amber. Image size 90 x 60, with a white shadow gap frame.
