Night falls over Rotterdam. Standing on the north bank of the river Nieuwe Maas, we have a good view of some Rotterdam bridges.. In the middle are the two towers of De Hef, the former railway bridge which now has the status of a national monument.
Less noticable, just behind De Hef, is Koninginnebrug, or Queens Bridge. Both bridges are spanning the Koningshaven, or Kings Harbour between the district Feijenoord, left, and the Noordereiland, right.
The movable middle part of De Hef is temporarily missing due to maintenance and because of that there is a clear view of another famous bridge, the Erasmus Bridge.
On the left of the picture we see Unilever's office which is built above the Blue Band factory. That building, actually a skyscraper on its side, is officially called, indeed, The Bridge.
