A sunrise seen from the North Island in Rotterdam. The sky turns into a lovely mix of red, purple and blue.
On the far left in the picture we see the office building Willemswerf, nicknamed the slide, built in the eighties to a design by Wim Quist. On the far right we see one of the red pylons of Willemsbridge, completed in 1981.
In between, among others, more or less in the middle of the picture, are two other well-known Rotterdam buildings: the Pencil and the White House.
The low building just right of Willemswerf is the former abutment of the old Willems Bridge, on which nowadays a gym is located.
In the foreground of course the river Nieuwe Maas, its water blurred due to the slow shutter speed
