Rupelmonde is a country house along the Vecht River in the village of Nieuwersluis. The first known owner of the house was Jean de Wolf, a well-known Amsterdam merchant from the 18th century. Around 1750 the main building on the Vecht side was enlarged with a domed room in the Lodewijk-XV style, later other modifications followed.
