I dedicate my work of art to Roy Lichtenstein (1923-1997), who was an American pop artist. His works are best known for their cartoon-like images with bright, mostly primary colours delineated by bold black contours. Most of his work is inspired by advertisements and cartoons, which he himself described as "as artificial as possible". He enlarged the cartoon drawings very much, so that even the uniform colours printed in a cartoon appeared as dots in the painting.
