Another beautiful interaction of lines, colors and shapes, the bow of this cargo ship, spotted at Park Quay in Rotterdam. The contrasting colors of sea blue and pinkish red shift towards green and orange near the rust spots. Where the paint peels off, a kind of gray emerges, while the rust spots themselves are, of course, mostly brown. The welds, together with the paint line and the shape of the ship, play their own game of lines. The numbers of the draught mark, embossed and highlighted with pale yellow paint, complete the picture.
