About ‘Ruta de los Pueblos Blancos’ by Alfred Eggensperger

In terms of my painting, only the moment counts, the pleasure of painting. A dance with the colors, a destruction, a rebuilding. Ultimately, a dialogue with the colors, the canvas and myself.
This is my way of working and my view of art. Not only at home in the studio, but also on the road. By car or on foot and always drawing with the sketchpad.
Similar to the work Cinque Terre from 2019, the work of the famous white villages in the Alpujarras in the south of Andalusia/Spain is a "snapshot"!
A southern mountainous coastal landscape. Bright natural colors due to the landscape, edges, corners and of course the white houses of the Pueblos Blancos in the middle.

A friendly and bright mood, with a touch of a southern atmosphere should be created and illuminate the living room or other rooms accordingly.
The work was painted with acrylic paints and partly with pencil on canvas. The original has a size of 50x60cm.

During my study period I worked mainly in stone, sometimes in wood. Figural and abstract. I learned to transfer graphic designs and sculptural models into large sculptures. A process of spatial prehension and its execution.
