Salzburg was the birthplace of 18th-century composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Salzburg's Old Town is internationally renowned for its baroque architecture and is one of the best-preserved city centers north of the Alps. The beautiful Salzburg Fortress on Moenchsberg Hill is the most famous landmark. A lot of other popular sights can be seen on a nice stroll through Salzburg's historic city center.
