I live not far from the coast, but don't get there very often. While there is actually so much to see and photograph. And besides, it is of course great to be outside, feel the wind along your face and relax for a while.
I recently paid another visit to Katwijk aan zee (the Netherlands) and again I really enjoyed it. I was hoping to see seals, but they didn't show themselves at that moment. But there were plenty of other subjects to photograph. First of all swarms of seagulls, which I had a great time photographing. But apart from that, there is always something to see in the sand. If not shells or animals, you often find the most beautiful sand structures. This beach structure caught my eye because of its beautiful wavy lines. These were further accentuated by the beautiful light, combined with the shadows in the ridges. Truly a beautiful piece of abstract art for the wall.
And another reason for me to go to the beach a bit more often.
A few years ago I started to delve into photography a bit more and by now it can be called a passion.I photograph everything that strikes me in a positive way. Landscapes, animals and occasionally architecture or portraits.... But my preference is still nature photos, especially macro.. Read more…
